Model-Based Analysis of Flow Separation Control in a Curved Diffuser by a Vibration Wall

Vibration wall control is an important active flow technique studied by many researchers. Although current researches have shown that the performance greatly affected frequency and amplitude of vibration wall, mechanism hiding behind phenomena still not clear, due to complex interaction between separation. To reveal walls, we propose a simplified model help us understand forced excitation (from wall) self-excitation instability). The can explain behaviors obtained numerical simulation, which show will be optimized at certain reduced or amplitude. Also, it analysis maximal Lyapunov exponents able change field from disordered one into ordered one. Consistent with these bringing more physical insight, implies tuned lock in unsteady separation, promote momentum transfer main stream separation zone, make orderly less chaotic, resulting reduction loss.
